1. Customizable Modules

Portals are equipped with a variety of modules that can be enabled or disabled based on your needs. These modules include:

  • Chat: Engage in real-time communication with clients, providing instant support or answers.
  • Attachments (through Channels): Share and manage files within the portal using Elate’s Channels feature, making file sharing easy and organized.
  • Tasks: Organize and assign tasks to clients or team members, helping keep track of project progress or client requests.
  • Ticketing System: Allow users to submit and manage support tickets, streamlining issue resolution.
  • Payroll Vendors: Manage and communicate with payroll vendors, integrating payment and financial management.

Note: Each of these modules can be toggled on or off depending on what your portal needs, making Portals versatile for different business models.

Portals can be configured as either private or public.

  • Private Portals require users to sign in before accessing content, ensuring that only authorized individuals can interact with the portal.
  • Public Portals allow open access to everyone without requiring a sign-in, ideal for knowledge bases, public-facing resources, or promotional sites.

  • Hero Image: The main banner image that represents your brand.

Authentication and Security:

Portals use a robust authentication system to ensure that only authorized users can access the relevant portals:

  • Guests can authenticate into a portal via existing Elate credentials, email, or phone number.
  • Non-Elate users can be invited to the portal, after which they’ll complete the necessary sign-up information (email and phone).

Every time a user logs in, their IP address and device information are captured to provide additional security. If there is a need to recover an account (e.g., lost email or phone number), the system will use the last known device or IP address to verify the user.

This level of authentication ensures secure access while maintaining ease of use for your clients and users.
