How to Add Elate as a Super Admin in your Directory Service

Please find your Directory Service below, then follow the steps to create a User Account with Super Admin Privileges for Elate within your Directory Service.

These Directory Services include: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho One, JumpCloud, Okta, Local Windows Server Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.


Google Workspace

How to create a User Account with Super Admin Privileges for Elate within Google Workspace

Steps

First, Set up a User Account for Elate

1. Navigate to Google Admin Console: https://admin.google.com/

-Sign-in as the Account owner (Super Administrator Account)


2. Go to Menu and then Directory > Users

-At the top of the user list, Click Add New User


3. Add the following User Account Information for Elate:

-First and Last Name: Elate Admin

-Primary Email: drive@[ClientDomain].com

-Secondary Email: support@elate.xyz

-Phone Number: n/a

4. Click Manage User’s Password,Organizational Unit, and Profile Photo

-Assign Elate's Organizational Unit: n/a

-Create a temporary Password for Elate: Welcome@Elate123!

-Click Add New User

-Send Elate the Account Information to support@elate.xyz

Next, Add Elate as a Super Admin

1. Navigate to Google Admin Console: https://admin.google.com/

-Sign-in as the Account owner (Super Administrator Account)

2. Go to Menu, then Directory > Users

-In the Users list, Find and Click on the Elate User Account

-Click Admin Roles and Privileges

-Click the Super Admin role

-Next to the Super Admin role, Click the slider so it's marked Assigned

-Click Save


3. Notify Elate once this has been completed

Microsoft 365

Steps

1. Go to the admin.microsoft.com and on the Admin Center of Microsoft 365. Click the “Add User” button

2. A pop-up window will appear. (1)Fill-up the necessary information about the user. The user’s information should be like this:

-First and Last Name: Elate Admin

-Username: drive@[ClientDomain].com

-Email credentials should be sent to: support@elate.xyz

-After filling-up the necessary information click the “Next” button

3. For assigning a license. Click the option “Create user without product license” then click “Next”

4. For this “optional settings” page. Just hit the “Next” button to continue.

5. Review the information about the user and if everything seems to be fine. Hit the “Finish Adding” button.


6. To set elate as “Global Administrator”. Go to Admin Center of Microsoft 365 and click the “Users” located on the right side of the page. Under the “Users” click the “Active Users”

7. Search for the Elate Admin account and click the user’s name to redirect you to the user’s information pane.

8. A pop-up pane will appear on the right side of the page. Click the “Manage Roles”

9. You’ll be redirected to the “Manage admin roles” page. Select the “Global Administrator” role. Then click the “Save Changes” button

Zoho One

Steps:


1. To add a user in Zoho. Go to one.zoho.com. On the left side of the page click the “Directory”

2. Then click “Users” and click the “Add User”

3. A window will appear on the right side of the page. On the basic information page. Fill-up the necessary information about the user. User information should be like this:

-First and Last Name: Elate Admin

-Email Address: drive@[ClientDomain].com

-Make sure to check the “Send Notification Mail”

-Leave other fields as default

-Then hit the “Add” button to finish the creation of the user.

4. To add the newly created user as an admin. Go to the “Directory” on the left side of the page

-Click the “Admins”. Then click the “Assign Admin” that is located on the upper right corner of the page

-Select the “Elate Admin” user and assign all the admin privileges.

-Then click the “Assign” button

JumpCloud

Steps:

1. To add an admin account on JumpCloud. Simply log in to https://console.jumpcloud.com/

2. Click your “initials” that is located on the top right of the page.

3. Click the “Administrators”

4. Click the “+” symbol and a pop-up window will appear. Fill-up the necessary information. The information of the administrator should be like this:

-First and Last Name: Elate Admin

-Email: drive@[ClientDomain].com

5. Under “Role” select “Administrator” and check the “Enable MultiFactor Authentication for Login”

-Then click the “create” button.

Okta

Steps:

1. To add an administrator account. Go to https://login.okta.com/

2. On the left side of the page. Click the “Directory”(1) and click the “People”(2)

3. Then Click the “Add Person”

4. A pop-up window will appear. Fill-up the necessary information, which should look like this:

-User Type: User

-First and Last Name: Elate Admin

-Username: drive@[ClientDomain].com

-Primary email:drive@[ClientDomain].com

-Group: leave this blank

-Password: Welcome@Elate123!

5. Check the 'Send user activation email now'.

-Then click the “Save” button to finish the creation of the new user

6. To add elate admin as super administrator. Go to the “Security” located on the left side of the admin page. Then click “Administrators”

7. You’ll be redirected to the “Administrators Page”. Click the “+ Add administrator” button that is located on the lower right of the page.

8. You’ll be redirected to a page and on the “select admin” field search for the elate administrator

9. Then in the “Role” dropdown choose the “Super Administrator”. Then click the “Save Changes” button

Microsoft Local Windows Server Active Directory

Steps:

1. To add an administrator account. Go to the “Start” menu or the windows symbol located on the bottom left of the screen.

2. Type the word “Active Directory Users and Computers” the click the “Active Directory Users and Computers”

3. A window will appear. On the “Active Directory Users and Computers” window. Click the “Users” that is located on the left side of the window.

4. A list of users will appear on the right side of the window. Search for the built-in “Administrator” account. Right click on the built-in “Administrator” account and click “Copy”

5. A small window will appear. Fill-up the necessary information. The user information should look like this:

-First and Last Name: Elate Admin

-Full Name: Elate Admin

-User logon name: elate.admin

-Password: Welcome@Elate123!

-User must change password at next logon should be checked

-Password never expires should be checked

-Other fields should be left unchecked

6. Click the “Next” button then click the “Finish” button.

Microsoft Entra ID

Steps:

1. To add an administrator account. Go to https://entra.microsoft.com/

2. Go to “Identity” located on the left side of the page.

-Under Identity click “Users”

-Then click “All users”

3. Click the “New User” located on the top most part of the page. Under the New user dropdown select the “Create new user” option


4. You’ll be redirected to the user information page. Elate Admin information should look like this

-Username: drive@[ClientDomain].com

-First and Last Name(Display Name): Elate Admin

-Group: leave this as blank

-Roles: give the highest role that is available

5. For the auto generated password. Copy it and kindly notify the elate team regarding this one.

6. Click the “Create” button.
